The exercises were a great opportunity to put things to use. It really helped connect theory with practice.

The reunification exercise did little to help me increase my understanding. I do have a significant training background in this already, though, so I suspect it's good for people who are less experienced in this capability.

Find a better way to engage EM's. We could set up an EOC, submit resource requests, or be utilized to help maintain situation awareness and common operating picture, but most of this was just us pitching what we can do instead of having a practical use in exercises. Also, develop a better explanation for the situation unit vs intel unit, the situation unit could be better utilized in area command.

The hands on exercise was great to experience. At the EM level there was less to do then first responding groups. However, it was advantageous to even observe the various response and coordination.

It was hard to feel integrated into the positions because mine was not LE/FIRE/EMS.

I think it would be better to have Emergency Management get together in an EOC next to IC (for non CCAs) and discuss pulling resources together, rather than having them go around with PIOs.

NOT being included official in any training scenarios for people in my profession as EMA. On the C3 flyer for the course, it was stated it was for 60 participants, 30 LEO, 20 Fire/EMS, 5 Dispatch, 2, PIO, 2 Emergency Managers, 1 Helo pilot. ALL OTHER professions listed were officially included in the scenarios and assisgned functions and tasks EXCEPT for the EM's.

Initially, it seemed that the book and what was presented on the board by the instructors didn't easily follow along with each other or match up. & if it did, it was not eaily identifiable. Pics of slides and slide numbers were way advance and further along / higher in numbers for what actual pages we were on in the book.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

Stop the threat, know the clock, act appropriately & effectively. TEAMWORK!! instructors were amazing.
