This is an excellent course. I love the way it was delivered. I hope FEMA creates more interactive courses like this. I have completed adv. and exec. academies and attended many other FEMA trainings over my 20 year career and this was by far the best.

I'd like to take the full 2 day FAC a class.

The scenarios for sure. I liked the balance between lecture time and most of the time being spent doing practical application.

I think finding more roles for EM to fill. There wasn't really anything specific to do for EM outside of Area Command. Most of the time, EM isn't going to be with command as they'd be in the EOC. It was good to immerse myself back into an IC role, though.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

Continued IC training. This was easily one of the best FEMA/TEEX classes I have ever been to. Thank you for the great instruction.

I would have an emergency management/EOC component for EM folks that may register for the class. Also, have a specific exercise on just setting up a reunification center so everyone has a role with that operation. There are many first responders with little to no experience with family reunification.

Other hazard specific training, especially relating to special event planning.
