Working with law enforcement in a coordinated manner as a command team was valuable.

The Medical Branch side of the command structure needs to be more expandable. The current structure would overwhelm a single Triage Group Supervisor if there were a large number of victims.

There needs to be more emphasis on unity of command and the communications structure. Combined LE/FD teams should only have one point of contact. For example, RTF should report to Triage, not Tactical. This was not clearly explained or reinforced in the training.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

Further policy and drill development with our law enforcement partners is needed now to integrate the lessons.

Understanding that this class works towards combining LE and FD the class seemed to lean more towards PD.

It would be helpful when loading a pt in the ambulance if it said what level of patients were already loaded not just the number.

We all have to keep learning.

This class was helpful in that we got to run a lot of incidents. That being said, the application of ICS used in the class was, in many way, antithetical to the principles and practices that many of us have been taught. I can't see our organization using the ICS applications taught as a result.

I appreciated the different perspectives from the different members of the team.

I am uncertain of the ICS parallels. There appears to be several breakdowns ( coms, scalability, current area practices) and the course is limited by resources.

Overall I think the format, that included the technology, was great. It kept the course alive and interactive. This was not a slideshow, which is great.

Developing task force to deal with injured.

Large scale operations that would be used by much larger agencies than here. I fill it would be beneficial if FEMA looked at jurisdiction size and resources and perhaps have this course tailored to large, medium, and small jurisdiction.

Not sure on value of round count and hit in this computer program as it does not simulate real life shooting.

More training on recognizing and dealing with IED's.
