The practical exercises. Although at times it felt like we were doing the same thing repetitively it created an opportunity to observe and participate in most aspects of the command system.

There were times when no tasks were assigned and we were standing by making that particular drill feel less productive and informative.

Try and shake up assignments a little to get people into different positions. Explain the operations of the program and how to set flags, move people etc. the first few exercises may have been smoother without the computer learning curve.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

Trying to coordinate more with neighboring agencies and law enforcement counterpart. Encouraging officers and chiefs to seek out same or similar training. Adapting what was learned her to integrate into the ASIM that is already established here.

Any type of incident management, I am fairly new to law enforcement so it was an eye opener to be able to jump into those higher management roles and attempt to be successful.

Learning the response structure, and how to coordinate with the different elements was the most valuable to me.

Although I understand their training value the least valuable part of the course was the computer avatar simulators.

Separating the computers used to drive avatars would require better radio communication, and not as much interference.

More incident management training especially training that involves available resources to my area.
