There were a lot of takeaways from the course I feel I can take back to my department and utilize. These were important takeaways that I feel will benefit our response.

I feel the exact model used here in class does not directly translate to a small department such as mine. I feel that we would do several things differently due to manpower issues.

Lecture and review of real-life scenarios could use quite a bit of improvement.

Start with real-life scenarios and work through those using videos, etc. Also help the class understand scenarios using table top exercises and reiterate the importance of why you separate Tactical from Command and Staging from command.
