Learning the IEDs - it was nice to know about them but I will likely not encounter them without Law Enforcement.

It is ok to be on the ambulance and not know any of the details of the incident. Its ok to just do as you are told.

The scenario based learning was the best as it took the concepts and applied them to real world situations the best that it could.

Ghost responders... not sure if class size is limited, or if we just had a bad turnout for this class.. It affects response and timing waiting for ambulances that have noone in them.. The instructors did a good job back half of the class to fill that void. More EMS would be good.

More EMS/Fire so we can have enough people for RTFs but also to transport patients. Staging needs to be set up after the first 2 sets of officers arrive. Contact 2 should not be waiting. Real life they would be immediate to scene.. After the first two rounds of officers arrive stagign should be estabilished.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

Continuing how the happens from a practical standpoint. The computers are fantastic aid and starting point. But taking the info and doing live scenarios shows how the time relaly works adn how things will work together.

Getting to participate with multidisiplinary partners and getting to see their priorities and focus compared to others.

The area command exercise seems underwhelming due to the lack of information or technology in the area command room. Area Command is blind to all intel and becomes more of a hinderance than a support system.

I strongly recommend EMS be consulted as a separate response profession, and not just a transport resource. EMS seems to be withheld for a long time for the sake of safety for the EMS crews, but they need to be moved in faster.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

We will take this back to our local area and redesign what makes sense to our response area.
