I wish there was more time explaining what we were supposed to do in different areas. It felt rushed and many were confused.

I would like to see more time with introduction portion of the class. The class was like drinking from a fire hose.

The system maybe to complicated and may need simplification to make it easier to remember. Too many moving parts.

The scenarios. It was also informative when the instructors were going over a past, real-life incident but used Madison locations instead. It made things really hit home.

As a PIO, there was some standing around. But we were encouraged to go learn about different areas.

I think the PIO segment could be updated a bit more. Social media plays such a large role in out jobs these days. You should have your PIO have to put something out online first, before the press briefing. Or have them assign someone in their JIC to do a series of posts.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

I think more trainings could be done in the tactical/triage/transport area. This one seemed the hardest for first responders to feel confident in as I observed.

The multiple scenarios we were able to participate in where we were able to put in practice each position and hit all forms of learning.

The instructors were knowledgeable and experienced, and significantly increased the benefit of the class through active and engaging lectures, and individual feedback and in the moment advice at each station. Without them the class would not have been as effective.

Hands on training as an element in addition to the computer training.

GETTING THE SAME ASSGINMENT REPEATEDLY.

ROTATE ASSIGNMENTS SO PEOPLE GET THROUGH EACH POSTION BETTER. I DROVE ABOUT 80% OF THE TIME. THE DRIVING WAS GREAT BUT IF YOU ARE NOT A GAMER IT IS VERY DIFFICULT AND YOU LOSE THE TRAINING BECAUSE YOU CONCENTRATE TOO MUCH ON THE DRIVING AND OPERATION OF THE GAME.
