I think a little more time could be spent on the ROLE of each command position. That seemed vague to me, and during the training I was more confused and flustered than engaged.

Training on how to establish a Critical Action Plan, or a IAP for our local highschool.

Hands-on portions of the class where I took control of my task were the most valuable. This allowed me the hands-on experience I need to understand the jobs in such circumstances as were presented to me.

I think this sort of training is most valuable. I only desire to see it given to others. May I be given training to become an instructor myself, that I might train my department and neighboring agencies? They need this training as well.

Being placed in supervisor positions was important to see how other positions than mine work.

I feel the whole course had value and nothing should be taken out.

I would like more debriefings of similar shootings and the mistakes made. Also the stations should be furhter away when possible to make it harder to communicate without radios. When the scenario does not have perimeter activity that position should be simulated when the class is short people to enhance training for those in that position.

Triage for first responders.

Although I understand their training value the least valuable part of the course was the computer avatar simulators.

Separating the computers used to drive avatars would require better radio communication, and not as much interference.

More incident management training especially training that involves available resources to my area.

Learning how to correctly stage resources was very good knowledge to me. I am a patrol officer, so it helps me understand the importance of assigning tasks to resources rather than throwing resources at a problem without direction.

Talking about Area Command and even some of Incident Command responsibilities. I could see how it would be valuable to supervisors attending the training, but it didn't seem too relevant to myself.

I think some items of discussion were given too much lesson time. Reunification seemed pretty simple to discuss, but the lesson plan included seemed a little long and drawn out.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

I would like to get more medical training as a law enforcement officer and gain better understanding of IED's and breaching.
