Gaining an understanding of traige/transport and relation to staging/command. Learning the differences in responsibilities between the designiated areas of command to facilitate timely and organized responses.

The major focus on rolls of law enforcement made EMS feel more like an after-thought.

Inclusion of EMS as opposed to Fire. Understanding that the majority of the nation combines EMS and Fire, I realize why the program focuses more on Fire, but in this area we are very seperate and EMS would lead Fire, not the other way as this program dictates.

Most in-depth simulation I have ever had.

I appreciate getting opportunities to do things I don't normally get to do (scribe for command, be a comms person) but I didn't get any reps at the job I would most likely get (initial EMS supervisor for triage/treatment).

The first day button class on the sim- add in the how to for treatment and applying triage categories, how to load into an ambulance and where to transport. Didn't get that until real sim started.

The closest possible repeat of these evolutions with actual partners and players in their actual roles.
