Explaining the command structure of an ASE, which is similar but not the same as ICS.

There may have been too many practical exercises. By the beginning of the 10th one, we all knew what we were doing.

It would be benificail to have less practicals and use that time to do a short "trainer" course. This information is very valuable, but now I have to back to my agency and develop my own training plan in order to train my co-workers.

I had a bit of difficulty with simple things, i.e., driving to the scene, etc., but the environment was geat. Radio traffic sometimes inaudible.

Great opportunity for our region and to help us as we move deeper into the integrated response response method.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

We need to develop our version of this course to provide it to other responders. Scene management is most important on incidents going more than a few minutes.

Simulators allowed multiple scenarios to be run, in a variety of assignments. This could all be done quickly, with a chance to debrief and reset easily.

Limitation of using so many radios in close proximity made it difficult to hear vital information.

Didn't get a chance to act in all available roles. In the future, a method to make sure everyone has an opportunity to run a scenario in as many different roles as possible, to gain more experience.
