I've taken multiple certification classes at WEMS and this was by far my favorite. I learned more these 3 days than I would in any other class.

The IED lecture seems more geared to PD, not EMS.

More like policy implementation and discussion with my chiefs and schools in our district. Educating myself of my county plans. Would also like to look into the lecture from "I love you guys" founder.

The simulations. The difference between sim and real world is to distant for the gaming environment to be useful. Smaller scale real world exercises would be more productive.

Rapid triage/treatment during the RTF role. I am a seasoned paramedic and did not need to increase my skills in this area.

Restrict number and types of patients that can be loaded into an ambulance or aircraft to real world levels.

More MCI type courses, we do not have enough MCIs in my jurisdiction to be comfortable with managing them without training.

Try to learn a bit more about your audience. We have separate EMS and fire departments with separate command structures.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

I try to find classes that focus on the the first 15-30 min of a large event. I am trying to fine tune my ICS understanding and look for classes that allow me to practice in a variety of roles.
