While it adds to the realistic actions in the incident, it would be nice to also see what the earlier forward deployed units are doing on the scene earlier (or maybe talk though it step by step after index).

Real world FTX to get more people involved and moving and seeing the time and practice of each step.

It was really valuable for me to see how our Law Enforcement partners act during a large event and what things they need to understand. That helps me prepare for and anticipate what they need from other agencies.

Although it was helpful, it felt as though there we didn’t work on the transport and triage officers very well. I saw a few people call ambulances to them from staging instead of sending them directly to the established Ambulance Extraction Point or where the Rescue Task Forces had their Casualty Collection Points. They did the same with the task forces instead of sending them directly to a specific door where the warm zone coordinador was created. I feel like this could be more apparent on a scene due to the distances needed to cover. The instructors focused more on staging and the Law Enforcement in the hot zone which was okay. Still super beneficial, just would’ve been more beneficial if we had another instructor helping those folks there too or floating.

I arrived early and flipped through the manual and checklist ahead of time and that was a GREAT help to my comprehension. Maybe as people come in suggesting that? It was a very good class and that’s all I could come up with for improvements (:.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

Primarily, I want to play out scenarios in live action! I would love to do this training with my neighboring agencies as well (I traveled across Madison to do this one).

This was really great! Perfect for me!.

I would love to have more training. I entered the classroom and was met by a room full of strangers and I left feeling I was a part of a very well organized group of Responders from various disciplines who can truly function as a single organism to get the job done very well and very quickly. I was amazed to watch the group transformation, in just a few hours, from a collection of individuals to a well organized and effective response force. This model is fantastic and will save lives. Thanks for your efforts!.
