Understanding the order of operations from the first officer on scene until after the law enforcement supervisors arrive on scene and unified command is established. The checklist helps alot.

I found the video presentations to be very valuable because of the ability to refer back to them.

At our particular Department, we train a bit differently. The first arriving officer on the scene immediately moves toward the threat, even if he / she is alone since most active shooter events last only a matter of minutes. We are a small to medium sized department so resources are an issue.
