Most of this information is extremely rudmentry for someone actively working in law enforcement. Perhaps it's most helpful if making a shift. Most new law enforcement has already learned this.

Knowing who is going to be first on the scene and what their duties are is most important because I am going to be worried about the safety of my students and who I should report to. Having only one person to report to will be easy in an active shooter situation because it is less stressful and needs minimal steps.

Knowing all of the steps and all of the people involved is good, BUT I don't expect to remember all of it during an active shooter situation. It feels like knowledge I won't be able to use.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

I need to know what to do with my students once a threat has been eliminated and we are in clearing the scene. What happens at the relocation site? How do we get to the relocation site? Who will give us these instructions?.

Learned the Police and Fire Side.

I really wanted to sign up for an active shooter course to learn more on what to do right away. In those 3-5 minutes before police come, as I am a Recreation Director and we have large group gatherings, teen rec nites, etc with no police presence. How do we handle initial actions best.

Have separate courses for different groups that are not focused on just police and fire, but the program or event supervisors role when on seen during incident needing to lead those first few minuts.
