I would say that there were no videos, however, it really wasn't needed.

Identified that younger officers need to experience this type of class before something happens in our jurisdiction.

The scenarios and using the simulators.

Power point's are always difficult to hold my attention, but that is not specific to this training.

This was one of the best training's I have ever had the pleasure of attending. I run my own training company and I could not say better things about your instructors. The way that two instructors teach the same block and bounce of one another was truly masterful. You have a great instructor cadre, with obvious expertise and experience.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

I am interested in completing other FEMA courses to better understand the processes during large scale disasters.

In my particular role, reunification and after-care isn't particularly relevant. But it provided good foundational knowledge in the event that I promote into a role where these things may be required.

Adding the importance of victim care in order to save lives.

The staging area is not true to life as officers will respond to the scene and get their assignment when they arrive rather than getting it before they get on scene. If they are not given a task they will find one to do and report back in.

The practical exercises were incredible. It was very valuable getting to experience the various roles.

Detailed information regarding roles that I wont have anything to do with. For instance, it benefitted me to know generalities about EMS and dispatch jobs, but I did not need to know the nitty gritty details.

Slightly changing the structure of the lecture would help. I would recommend giving an overview of all of the structures to each student, then breaking the class into groups to go into more detail about their particular roles. IE a group for law enforcement, a group for dispatch, etc.
