Scenario based training and role playing ICS roles during scenarios.

Which part(s) of the course was LEAST valuable to you? Please explain why.

Equipment is outstanding for running command, however unrealistic for the first 2 hours of an incident to have telephones and large whiteboards etc. Most field users are going to be using small white boards, notepads or even their vehicle to document. Practicing with field notes is important.

After day 2, run one scenario with field notes not having phones, and only radios to control incident. Will be more realistic and show a little different side to field users and how to adapt what we've learned to what we have available.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

Incident Exercises and Planning related as well as training others in my dept. on ASIM and changing a culture of how to build out for these large scale incidents to prevent confusion.

There was no foundation for this class , which made many sections very confusing.

I thought there would be tabletop, but enjoyed the practical. A tabletop would be helpful so everyone could experience what each section is like.
