I think it would be more beneficial to focus more time on the single location attacks that are more statistically relevant. It is good to run through a CCA, but would be good to focus a bit more time on the school/business world of 1 attacker.

I wish there was more time explaining what we were supposed to do in different areas. It felt rushed and many were confused.

I would like to see more time with introduction portion of the class. The class was like drinking from a fire hose.

The system maybe to complicated and may need simplification to make it easier to remember. Too many moving parts.

The practical scenarios put us in higher stress situations to apply what we've learned. It was good to get out of one's comfort zone and try the different roles.

Sometimes the debriefings being summarized by us seemed to be sugarcoated. It was good to hear things from our own perspective, but maybe a little more from the instructors in the way of "constructive criticism.".

It is a lot of information to be thrown at us in 3 days. I do like the format and practical exercises but I think maybe even 1 more day to could be added .

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

It's not so much other training now as it is going back and practicing these tactics with my fellow officers. If I don't practice things I will forget them. ALso if my officers don't know or understand these concepts things will be difficult in a real life scenario as well.

The hands on portions throughout the scenarios.

If I had to pick something it would be serving as a scribe but someone has to do it.

One instructor in particular provided semi "war stories" that I felt did not contribute to the course in any way. The same instructor seemed significantly less prepared for his small block of instruction than the other instructors who were top notch.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

I would have to say exterior response to active shooting incidents. We touched on stopping short of the target and obtaining the equipment we would need. I know ALERRT offers this training.
