Just learning the roles and responsibilities of the firat responders and the vocabulary used in an event was great information to transition from my military experience to civillian.

The part of the cours that was least important was the last tabletop exercise that included multiple attacks in a 3.5 mile geographical area.

Not integrating emegency management into the practical exercises through the sccenarios. We joined of our own accord to be included but didn't have preassigned roles.

Being able to tweak some of the content to be applicable to the jurisidiction that the course is being conducted in. At minimum taking into consider state laws which are applicable to jurisdiction issues.
