The practical TTXs and rotating positions was extremely valuable.

The radio comms were sometimes challenging when in close proximity to other students, but it also added to the realism of the course.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

Continual practice of the learning objectives and introducing/training the rest of my department's staff. I also plan to look into Fusion Center negotiations training for my Dispatchers.

The time spent in all of the various disciplines and gaining hands-on experience in that particular jobset. It also helped to have us think through and demonstrate what we would do in the aftermatch of the direct incident.

It would have been more beneficial to put people in the spots that they would have likely occupied per their current rank and then the job above them. I.e. a sgt running the tactical spot or even the IC until relieved by a higher rank.

It's clear the instructors are very thoughtful and very invested in this topic. They do a good job of mixing in both practical and lecture information.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

Continuing my education and training experience in the active shooter management field. I'm already a LE active shooter response instructor and this gave me a better knowledge base past the initial response to the shooting.
