The initial simulation could have the option to involve emergency managers more. I can understand not all classes will have them, but it would be nice if there was a way to integrate them.

Skill reinforcement from the lessons that were taught.

Need more participant interaction. The instructors would ask a question but then would answer it or just allow for head nods to affirm what they were saying. More vocal participation is integral to adult learning.

Needed more engagement of the EM's. They were not used efficiently and we would have liked to have shown what they can really do in a situation.

This course was geared to LE, EMS and Fire - not to the professional All Hazard responder I was not utilized or included in the scenarios and had to insert myself to assist the students that had never done IC, Tactical or Area Command before.

At my level this course would be more beneficial if the Emergency Manager was engaged in the capacity that they were at. A local EM has a certain skill set - the Federal EM has a completely different skill set that was under utilized during this course.
