Applying myself into command and area command helped so that I could apply emergency management fundamentals. I enjoyed the use of different key areas in the org chart via the different stations to simulate more realistic responses.

I believe EM could be more involved, supporting and educating on the resources that EMA's can provide to the responders. We should have some form of simulation to display the process of obtaining EMAC assistance.

Continue to involve EMA in a more active role.

I will be spending a lot of time re-evaluating the plans and procedures at my EMA.

EMs had very little to offer in the tactical exercises. It was nice to watch, but little to actually do.

Liked having dispatch there, maybe have EMs run the hotwash, look at the information on a whole. Don't think IC got a good picture of every event.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

Letting ICs know what emergency management brings to the table. Very little had a good grasp of it.
