The board game.

Which part(s) of the course was LEAST valuable to you? Please explain why.

Instruction on how the board gam was going to work. One instructor didn’t allow me to work through the problem as staging manager and just started adding and allocating resources.

Better explanation of the board exercise and how the different stages operate and how to add resources through out the exercise. If I had not already had the AAIR Instructor class I would have been completely lost during the class.

Review of the materials to be familiar with the materials incident command side of an active shooter response.

It would help to explain the rules for the tabletop exercise to avoid confusion mid-scenario.

Be careful assuming the knowledge level of participants. Although everyone here knows what CCP and RTF-others won’t have the experience level.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

We need to start training in post-incident strategies and procedures to deal with fallout and influx of “helpful” persons (media, politicians, well-intended folks, the conspiracy theorists).

I just hunk there can be a more in-depth method of conducting the practical exercise that prevents hand-waving certain tasks such as officers reporting to staging instead of the scene.
