As a non gamer, it took me several scenarios to get comfortable with the sims.

The simulated practical exercises. A rotation through each of the positions would have enhanced the student's understanding of each position. Being placed on a contact team, RTF, or perimeter for 6 of the 7 scenarios was repetitive and not informative or progressive.

Repetitions on the computer program allowed for me to see the command structure in action many times during the course and made it easily understandable.

The specific assignment of being a perimeter officer seemed like a waste, as those performing this function basically stood still for the scenario without doing anything. Probably just simulate this function.

Any more real world incidents that can be brought in would be good.

Making sure my patrol squad has at least a basic understanding of what I learned and knows that these events will be structured.
