Trainer candidates take part in the ASIM Basic course, walking through the checklist, case examples, and guided practicals from the student perspective.

The other aspect of training that was important was using radio transmissions in order communicate with other sections of the practical scenario instead of staying in the same room and speaking to each other in that fashion. This showed us how the hectic the radio may get at times.
