The situations with successive complexity. I really enjoyed working with a different commander each time because it exposed me as PIO to different styles of leadership.

I would change the suspect profile. Every situation was a male with dark skin, and I think there's an opportunity to challenge people's stereotypes about who commits horrible attacks in this country.

As the PIO I was exposed to routine incidents all the way up to complex multi site incidents. While the class did not address PIO needs specifically I learned a great deal and was able to think more deeply in order to prepare and think ahead to prepare initial statements.

There is never a least valuable in training every aspect is a learning opportunity.
