Provide a sample or exercise for the computer sceneior to get students familiar with the use. Not everyone plays video games and this portion was extremely frustrating for both the students that were and were not familiar with the system.

The most valuable part of this course was when you were assigned a leadership position such as tactical, staging, or incident commander during a scenario. In these roles your were forced to use effective communication and logic to help facilitate a positive result.

If you were working on a computer to simulate your role as an officer or medical provider it wasn't very effective or helpful. The limitations of the graphics, field of view, and ability to communicate were all inhibited during the computer simulation and overall not very valuable.

Make a supplemental offering for this course for supervisors or senior officers that is ran more like a tabletop or with real role players rather than on the computers.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

Stress inoculated scenario based training which would incorporate the same incident management concepts used in conjunction with real life participants.
