Exposure to the operational level that should be at play during these types of scenarios. (Too often people operate within their own "cylinder of excellence" and are not aware of things happening laterally or up and down the task force structure. This not only provided awareness to those secondary, tertiary an ancillary activities...it forced participants to function in those capacities.

Out of necessity, the helicopter functioned equally as a niche asset (training aid to all the players) and active participant. Having said that, I do not feel like the three days were time wasted at all.

Not least valuable, but I am only a road deputy. I do not have the ability to roll out this training to everyone in my department. I feel if an incident like this were to occur, I would ultimately have to conform to what my department does rather than what I learned here.

Possibly finding a way to advertise to more personnel of rank so they would be able to start training more members of the department they work with.

Incorporate simunitions for law enforcement. An additional hands on TCCC component should be added where participants walk into a room triage and treat manikins. Refining the Tourniquet & chest seal application skills.
