Breakdown of events.

Which part(s) of the course was LEAST valuable to you? Please explain why.

Performing stuff on the computer made it more difficult to perform tasks that wouldn't normally be difficult. VR could potentially be more benificial or just doing the exercise in person vs screen.

Please provide any other comments or suggestions you have for improving this course.

I think there could have been a better breakdown of staging, tactical, and command with the entire class of what the focus needs to be vs. students going to it and asking "what am I supposed to be doing?" I think if you spend a little more time on their responsibilities it would help.

The practical exercises that included complex coordinated attacks. That is not covered in other ALERRT courses. I also appreciated the expanded discussion of IED's.

The section on media and PIO's. I feel like that is very specialized and not all officers need that training.

The maps in the book were sometimes hard to read.

I like the hands on scenerios. Also, the instructors were well spoken and knowledgeable. They were eager to help and answer any questions. .

If i had to choose something, probably the PIO stuff. But it was important information.

I think the class should be longer. Also, more instructions on running staging or tactical or command center. I didn't understand what exactly my job was until the scenerio was halfway through.
