The hands on scenarios and getting to play the different positions. This enabled me to see how critical each position is to effectively handle these large scale incidents.

We have a very similar system for active shooter training. I found the incident command aspect and management style, as well as the reunification aspect most useful as that is where our training is lacking.

I found each part valuable, I would say the least valuable would be the area command at this point in my career as it is not something that I will be utilizing very often, however, having the knowledge is extremely helpful to know what my superiors deal with.

I would like to see the aspect of drones possibly. This is a technology that we have started utilizing in patrol and would be useful for a canvas and perimeter to gain intel during an active shooter event.

This training was great. This is something that needs to be implemented whenever possible. Being that I was the only one from my department that attended this week I will strongly urge my department to send more officers to be trained in this so everyone will be on the same page.
