The least valuable at this time for me would be doing the press conference only because at my agency I would never be handling that as a Lieutenant. The Sheriff, Undersheriff, or a Captain would be handling any press briefings as Lieutenant and lower would only be putting out a potential media release by email.

This was a very good course which coincides well with the ALERRT instructor school I took and am a trainer for my department in for active shooter training.

Anything that has a next level past this one.

As a dispatcher, we don't get to see what actually happens down range. With this training we got to see and understand all perspectives.

Recommend hiring/getting input to increase the quality of the dispatching part of the scenarios. The "calls" and information that was in the provided info was not quite up to what would be normal.

Negotiation, Dispatchers often times in these scenarios, are the first "negotiators" until the actual trained negotiators arrive.

Sometimes, there was downtime during the exercises. That said, I don't know how things could be rolled out differently.

We trained in a small town. While I found value in the class and the examples because I am from a moderate sized city, I think that having examples of active shooter incidents that have happened in a small town would be beneficial in future classes held in small towns.
