The scenarios matched with the learning blocks prepared us for what was coming.

The radios and the small space. It was sometimes tough to overcome the communication difficulties.

Plan for a larger space to conduct the course. The background noise made it difficult to hear on the radios and communicate with other members of our groups.

The simulations/practical exercises were the most beneficial as they provided an opportunity to practice the skills in a controlled environment and receive real time feedback.

The scenarios for sure. I liked the balance between lecture time and most of the time being spent doing practical application.

There wasn't really a least valuable part.

I think finding more roles for EM to fill. There wasn't really anything specific to do for EM outside of Area Command. Most of the time, EM isn't going to be with command as they'd be in the EOC. It was good to immerse myself back into an IC role, though.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

Continued IC training. This was easily one of the best FEMA/TEEX classes I have ever been to. Thank you for the great instruction.

The hands on learning was amazing. It was SOOOO nice to be a dispatcher and actually be fully involved in each incident and dispatch as we normally would need to and not just watch or participate in a capacity that we wouldn't normally do.

I don't have any other comments for improvement. I will say this group of instructors were fantastic and you can tell they have worked together before and are truly passionate about what they are teaching.

I think I could benefit from a type of negotiations training geared towards dispatch. After seeing how the negotiations aspect came into play it could be beneficial to the communications center in large scale events.
