There was a lot of useful information when it came to explaining the statistics surrounding active shooters and CCA. The importance of going into a rescue role after the threat has been neutralized was also valuable.

I found myself being a "fill in" on a lot of the scenarios and not not really doing anything.

This course would be a lot more beneficial if it was provided at an agency level. For example bringing a local police and a local fire department together for the training.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

The importance of rescuing the survivors and providing immediate care after the threat has been neutralized.

Practical scenarios were the most valuable.

A lot of the medical procedures did not appear valuable at the time. They may prove valuable at a later time.

Please fix the technology. There were hiccups with it. I was super excited for this class in part due to the real hands on immersive technology, and it was not working well for a majority of the course. Also, preplanning unit assignments in an improved manner would be good. It seemed some of the same people were getting the same assignmetns over and over during the scenarios.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

Tactical active shooter training is most important now that I understand the management side of it.

The instructors did great, the computer system was very glitchy and eventually crashed which disrupted the flow of the class.

All the insructors delivery on information was amazing. This is true a good group of men, who provide a unique skillset.

I have completed the Active Shooter Instructor Training through FEMA at Cannon City Colorado. I am currently working on Emergency Manager and PIO.
