Ic, the times i spent in actual ic or tactical was valuable practice, instructors were relatable and had good information.

Using the simulator as a first responder. for me, in my current position as a lt, i am not going to be in a role as contact team or perimeter, yes it could happen but not likely.

The experience at the outlying training sites (tactical, command, staging) and coordination with other resources. This type of coordination training does not happen frequently.

I was repeatedly assigned to RTF teams and not to other units. I did not have the opportunity to experience all of the stages. I understand that is a difficult task, but I would have enjoyed the chance to do command or tactical.

The training simulation was good, but could be better if using VR or even simunition.

Updating supervisor or future incident commanders on a simple task list that would create success for them in these events.

Not having tactical and commander closer to one another. In real life this would be the case.

It would have been great to have someone from our area demenstrate the information layout on the white boards for the different disiplines. Every person who was manager, IC, etc. did some thing different when it came to how and what they put on their boards.

Continued FEMA training in incident command.

Refreshing in my mind the need to push RTFs into a warm zone more immediately.

Playing on the computers was not a benefit to me. While I appreciate the use of technology playing a shooting game was not helpful for someone with my level of experience and position.

This course was advertised as needing command level participants. A majority of the class was geared toward patrol while the ability to act as a supervisor or commander was very limited.

The scenarios were ultimately good. Tech was a little clunky, good but could be better.

The instructors were far to locked to the "script" with a tendency to immediately prompt students at every single moment.

It would be nice if the course had flexibilty to allow a group like ours (LE and Fire that already work closely together) to use our existing SOPs as a starting point.

More granular incident management for my level (front line supervisor) followed by ICS series, rinse, repeat.

A saw a few people cutting or tearing maps out of the book. Suppling a map packet separate from the book would be easier to manage going from station to station.
