Breaking down the pulse scenario. This was not necessary compared to doing the actual scenarios. The Pulse night club is broken down at every training I go to.

I think staged units should be allowed to leave staging and get in their vehicles like they would normally. Waiting to go to the vehicles and then getting situated wasted some time for the responders. .

Incident Command Assignments and getting them deployed in a timely manner. Without this training, my organization would approach this topic in a very slow manner.

The practical exercises were by far the most beneficial - being able to put ourselves in the roles we'd perform and using a realistic timeline were most helpful.

The lack of specific defined roles for emergency management made my role a bit more difficult, but the instructors did a great job of allowing us to assist and utilize our skills effectively as the scenarios progressed.

This course was run like a well oiled machine and the instructors are phenomenal.

Having the simulations added to the experience. So often courses like this you "pretend" and things just happen, having the computer sim adds to the time element and realism of conducting activities.
