DEFINITELY WORKING POTENTIALLY WITH A DISPATCH CAD TEAM TO MORE ACCURATELY REFLECT THE CAPABILITIES AND FUNCTIONS OF A REAL CAD (IT WOULD HELP ENHANCE THE DISPATCHERS ROLE IN THE SIMULATION) AND ALSO POSSIBLY OPENING THE COURSE TO MORE DISPATCHERS SO THAT THEY CAN ROTATE THROUGHOUT THE POSTS EVEN WORKING AS SCRIBES FOR COMMAND OR OTHER UNITS JUST TO GET A FULL CIRCLE EXPERIENCE.

PowerPoint lectures... There is good content in there when framed in the case studies of previous incidents. General statistics are not helpful or useful for building incident management skills.

I think the course is great, I would post a list of the area hospitals in the book or on a sheet in the tactical sim box. We all know our local facility names by heart, not central city's. The venue for this training was a pain to access/park at, but that is on MDEM for choosing this.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

Any advanced active assailant class, or a larger class on area command operations.

The live training exercises were the most valuable to me, especially having to operate outside of my comfort zone and above my typical responsibility level gave me a better understanding of the process as a whole.

The scenarios were an outstanding way to put the knowledge into action and make everything "click." The use of technology was awesome.

The area command portion was very helpful, but may not match my local area. Still good info.

Coaching by the instructors was great. Very knowledgeable and good coaches. Some of the area command scenarios seemed to be prompted a bit early which caused a little confusion. Still awesome training.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

Would love to do additional training with the simulations and also encourage my colleagues to participate.
