An "intermediate level" for road officers that didn't go into the detail of command and control but addressed the on scene issues of setting a CCP etc. would be good.

The virtual scenarios were a great benefit. It allowed us to participate in several events which would not be possible if done physically.

The PowerPoint really did not have much substance.

The female instructor seemed to stumble on her material when teaching her two blocks. When monitoring the scenarios, she suggested several times that the offender did not get treated medically after all innocents were evacuated. It seemed that she wanted to find wrong-doings before I could even respond.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

I really enjoy the active shooter trainings and incident command classes.

Practical exercises including multiple disciplines. Involving multiple disciplines working together, while somewhat common, needs to be accomplished more. This training allowed that in a manner that made sense.

There was some levels of instruction contrary to not just local protocols but also good common sense and practice. To engage in disagreement with medical personnel operating at a level of instruction higher than yours does not make for good educational opportunities.

Overall this was a fantastic course and I would highly recommend it to managers. I do not think this would be a good course for front line officers with less than 5 years of experience.

Ensure all instructors are presenting the material in a manner that is clear, concise, and well delivered. Distracting words and fractured speech patterns such as too many "ums", "uhs", "ya knows", take away from the course material. Effected the delivery and student attention span. Seemed ill prepared. Not all instructors demonstrated this way. ,.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

Continuing to attempt mastery of the ICS concept, and integrating it with the MCI/ AS response. The course allowed me to understand both sides better, now knowing the obstacles faced by the IC component, having only prior known the response element view.
