Just the idea of how to coordinate resources as well as the passing of command.

Not sure we would have the use of direct telephone connections as opposed to radios. Most likely we would be using cell phonws.

Maybe dissect a previous event with locations for staging, command aep etc.

More resource management due to being an older cop that is now an administrator.

Being actively involved and co-located with fire, EMS and law enforcement to see how the scene unfolds, as well as their communication on scene.

Even though I enjoyed being located with the teams, it would be interesting to see if more information was communicated over the radio if dispatch was put behind a screen or in a separate room. We could hear the exchange of information but officers were not relaying it to us via radio so it was not documented in the notes. This could actually be a real life example.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

Negotiator training for when the suspect calls into dispatch and how to partner with law enforcement/fire departments with this information.

The course was great, I could only hope we could get the same course and training for additional personnel from St. Joe County police/fire/ems agencies so more people were on the same sheet of music.

Additional training with new terminology that we used in this class so that again additional agency personnel in my county are aware of the terminology we used over the past few days.
