Parts of the simulation lab. This was due to my EM role which did not have direct simulation interaction.

Great job! It is difficult to identify changes within the current scope of the course.

Family Assistance / Reunification Center planning and exercises. Area Command exercises. Incident scenarios with IED's and injuries/hostages.

It would help if the instructors had some knowledge of local and state operations before the training. For instance, knowing state-wide resource management and situational awareness tools commonly used, such as WebEOC. Then integrate some of those into the training scenarios.

It was not a single part. It was the opportunity to rotate through many different positions that I likely would never work in the real world,, but the training gave me the oppotunity to understand what others are expected to do and the challenges they face in doing it.

There was one point when the instructors gave conflicting information during one of the practicals. The instructor that gave the conflicting information really would not let us explain what the other instructor had directed us to do. It was an isolated incident and in no way should override the overall quality of the class.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

I would really like to see a two day class sete up in the same format that focuses solely on establishing and managing the reunification center.
