The interaction with, and practice reps with, other elements (Fire, EMS, command, etc) that my agency doesn't have the ability to frequently train with.

Which part(s) of the course was LEAST valuable to you? Please explain why.

At least five of my eleven exercises had me in an administrative role, delegating tasks, managing resources, etc. While I recognize that some level of command may be thrust upon me in such a situation, I will, realistically, never be placed in a position of being a high ranking incident commander, and I missed out on the reps that could have better reinforced the skills that I will be utilizing.

Great, knowledgeable instructors. Keep them coming, these guys were great.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

For the police officers, an in-person tactics component would be nice.

Needs to be taught on a lower level maybe even in regional academies throughout the country to police. FIRE gets this training conceptually but police do not.

The simulation program needs work. It was often difficult to maneuver both in a vehicle and on foot.

Learning how the dynamics of the command system works. I am a firefighter and it helped clear things up.

Some sort of headsets that connect to radio, notepads for ambulance drivers to record patients names, and the ability to mut the engine noises, it interfered with radio traffic.
