The entirety of the course was valuable to me. Previous to this course I did not have much incident command training. This course greatly enhanced my knowledge base and abilities within incident command.

The instructors at time brushed over portions of the course. They are obvious experts, some of the lecture time could have been extended/expounded upon. Overall, the course was excellent and I will be recommending that my department send additional officers/supervisors.

Additional incident command training to complement/develop the newly learned skills.

The experience offered at the variety of scenario stations exposed me to a better understanding of how those areas operate.

I learned a lot about operational pieces that I have not had a lot of experience with so it's hard to identify a piece that wasn't valuable. Because I have to choose, I'd say the medical transport piece.

As a experienced PIO, I would see value in adding a social media / mobile phone app component to the PIO role. That is a strong spot to manage the flow of information and inform the community real time.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

This course has been an excellent supplement to our hands on and live fire training.

Powerpoint. Although it was informative and short to an extent, PowerPoints are always less useful.

Try to stay away from PowerPoint after lunch. Full stomachs and warm rooms, leads to sleepy individuals.

This course was a great way for our agencies to see how complex an Active Shooter Incident will be. It gave us insight into things that we need to continue to practice going forward.
