The scenarios were the most valuable part of the training. Practical experience is the most valuable portion of any training and was very beneficial in terms of overall management, command and control.

While there was some case study, I felt that there could have been a more extensive review of some of the active assailant events throughout the country. I believe this would have helped us to better learn what went well, and what did not, from these incidents.

The maps in the book were hard to read.

Have a gameplan for dispatch ahead of time (which units to send in which order, what channels to use. The portable radios were not the best and we lost a headset.
