Need more options on simulator - ability to talk face to face (headsets maybe) with other personnel in simulator (rather than relying on radio for everything). So if you come across a RTF in simulation you can just talk over headsets as you look at eachother.

The practical application, problem solving under pressure with the appropriate guidance.

Day 2, sitting in front of the computers. We weren't overly familiar with the maps, which caused a delay in activity and communication. Maybe this could be done in smaller groups to allow for more rotation?.

Over the three days, I was incident command of one event and incident command for a secondary event. The rest of the practical application, I spent in front of a computer on an RTF or Contact team. That didn't do much for my abilities or confidence level in a command role.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

Emergency management operations courses. We have a few large venues and several large events that happen throughout the year. The time to prep is now, not the day of the event. Thank you for you time and patience with us.

Hands on scenario based learning. Getting an opportunity to be part of every aspect of the active shooter is important to understand tasks given by that unit in real world.

Hands on tactical training as well as incident management. Tactics can be perfect but can be ruined by poor command decisions.

Course information was thorough, no complaints. maybe add footage of incidents to the presentation to give a visual representation of the chaos.

Just improve the triage/bath options for responding team, ie limit the abilities of the responder based on their training. It could be determined by a few questions during registration. IE level one first aid, level two tactical medic/emt, level 3 paramedic.

Combined LEO and Rescue/fire training.
