I think being assign to different positions during each practical exercise creates a well rounded experience.

I think area command might be reserved for a brass leadership course.

Maybe focus less on squeezing as many exercises in as possible and make one longer more realistically timed scenario at the end.

Command school in conjunction with this course takes aspects of each and provides tools multiple tools for our tool box.

The hands on exercises were extremely beneficial. they allowed me to get hands on experience and training in events that would take much longer in a real life, large scale scenario.

The only concern was the time it takes to assess / treat patients within the simulator. This was a bit frustrating when other tasks were necessary.
