Maybe some intel on the area you're going to be teaching in so you have an understanding of tactics locals use. RTF here goes in with security element. So you are prepared for how we have trained. Different philosophy but works for us. Lots of years of training to get here though.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

Continued scenario based training, both tabletop and on scene utilizing all resources. We recently did large scale onsite training with Tactical Dispatchers, FD, and PD. Next time we need to include EMA.

Which part(s) of the course was MOST valuable to you. Please explain why.

The importance of different agencies working together to reach a common goal. Being in Emergency Management it helped working alongside LE, Fire, and EMS. While they gave me tips on what they specialized in their profession, I was also able to relay to them the importance of establishing healthy relationships so that they know who we are and what we can do for them.

I believe moving forward having more active shooter trainings that involved with EM allows agency to build better relationships amongst each other. There were many times during scenarios where I was able to establish help to in position in the IC taking things off their plate and letting them know that they can request resources through us so that their incident is handled smoother.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

I would love to be apart any future active shooter trainings OR EM trainings/programs to help strengthen me through training so that I will be better prepared for an actual event. Thank you and God Bless.
