Being pigeon-holed into a role.

Placing folks in roles based on registered discipline should be expanded to include overall experience. I have over 35 years experience as a FF, and EMS Captain, Major and Chief Officer. However, I was only used in the Emergency Manager role. Please consider overall experience.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

I really enjoyed the class, though. I got quite a bit of information on the subject, which adds to my overall knowledge.

Interactive practicals.

The class size was small and lacking LEO so we had down time when the LEO component had to be cycled through without effective intel and results compared to having actual numbers.

On the first day to day and a half, let the students work the practicals but pause every 2 to 2.5 minutes to give coaching. Lowers the confusion and lost info.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

You could apply this type of training to events like major street protests in VA and such.

The necessity for communication between the triage/transport/RTF/ambulances. When the communication was smooth and linear, the scenarios would also flow smooth and linear.

While I enjoyed the LE-focused part of the training, some of it was not pertinent to EMS. However I understand that this is a multi-discipline course, and I still enjoyed learning it.
