Having a checklist to keep me focused. keeping the modules short a concise kept the class moving forward.

Having all scenes located in one room was distracting. it was hard to keeep focused on my task while listening to other conversations.

Having 30 minutes to learn the simulator was taxing but by the end of day 3 I felt comfortable enough to complete the tasks.

Scenario practical exercises: These provided the opportunity to be in command at different levels.

Case sutdies: We could have gone into more depth on the situations and how they unfolded.

The simulation, while crude, could be improved by changing the controls to match common video games. Left clicking to fire and right clicking for information. This would have prevented several accidental discharges during the scenarios.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

More physical practical scenario training with simunition or simulation screens. This should be conducted wtih a command structure as well.

The scenario trainings. This allowed the information learned to be applied in real time and in the chaos a close to reality as possible. it allowed me to grow in understanding of the objectives for each position and role.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

Applying this to a school shooting event. I have attended trainings where the SRM is tought with a school mindset and I have now attended ASIM with a LEO mindset. I would love to see this training combined and provided to SRO's and school administration.

Learning how to more effictively work with law enforcent.

Alot of the EMS part is really just a resfresher on ICS which we use all the time.

Excellent class. The drills can get a bit repetaive for ems (drive the ambulance alot) but I understand there only so many jobs to do.

More practical training/drills working with law enforcement to impliment what we learned.

If I could make one suggestion, separate the different task assignments to different rooms or locations within a building. It reduces confusion and creates a more realistic environment.

The simulations program is a good base but could use some work. Mainly the controls could be changed to something more efficient and more realilistic.

SPEND MORE TIME EXPLAINING EACH AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY AND EXPLAIN WHAT OTHERS DID. DAY ONE WAS MORE LIKE, THEY DID WELL BUT NOT STEP BY STEP LIKE DAY 2 AND 3.

I really enjoyed all of the instructors and their attitudes toward and during the course. All of them kept the class interesting while still allowing us to learn in an effective manner.
