The practical exercises were "Key". I learned the most when performaing the different roles we learned about druing the traininng.

I would have liked to practice the different roles more frequently. I felt I learned the most from performing the different roles, but there were several roles I never got to participate in. I would have liked more rotation, and more practice in each role, but I understand with a large class this has to be limited.

Overall; this was a great course. I feel I learned a great deal and will be able to implement this training within my department.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

Hostage Negotiation training for dispatch and Officers. Even the line level needs to gain these skills to be better able to deal with people they encounter on patrol.

The "video game" as I do not believe it is an accurate reflection of on-scene actions or times to accomplish a task.

Radios should have ear pieces or the classroom should have the ability to section off certain stations to eliminate the oversaturation of all the different open radios and talking which is not reflected in a real world environment.

The exercises that focused on the management side rather than the operation side.

The exercises I played an operation role in since that's where most of my previous training focused.

Good course. The only suggestion I have is to provide headsets for the radios to help with the realism since most officers use them in the field.

Training on preparedness and pre-event planning for events like this.

The course could be five days, the lectures were rushed. Great scenarios and class. Would recommend separating the different scenario groups or get ear pieces for radios.

More incident management courses, more large scale event courses invovling critical incidents.

The practical execises made me put into practice learned material. The debrief's after the exercises were incredibly valuable.

A large amount of material to be taught in a short period of time. Could have used one more day, but the reading materials given should fill in the gaps.

I think the instructors did an amazing job. They did a great job of bringing their personal experiences to relate the material to students. All the instructors were professional and great facilitators.

More practical incident command courses for major incidents.

Less scenarios, but lengthen the time of the scenarios to let them play out more and be more logical. For example, staging and tactical was set up at almost the same time the first responding officer was on scene.
