I found the map and chips that were used on the projector as a great tool. The instructors were able to demonstrate and explain the steps that were going on during the active shooting scenario.

The least valuable was the number of recruits to do this assessment made it harder to hear communication and see al the steps.

The part of the course that was the most valuable was how the first responding trooper should act on scene. This was valuable because it is very possible that I could be the first person to arrive.

The part that was the least valuable was the first arriving supervisor. I am not ranked high enough to be a supervisor and that role does not apply to me.

I would focus on how the 5th man. It was a confusing part for me because they took over control of the scene but remained on the outside.

Basic medical training will be important to me because I should be able to provide basic care to an injured individual.

I enjoyed how the course was hands on, and we were able to be included.

I believe that the least valuable part of the course was the pre-test and post-test. This is information that can be forgotten quickly because we do not receive constant training for it.

I think seeing the instructors perform the scenario quickly would have showed the class how it should have been done. Most of us seemed lost because we never did anything close to this.

Field operation trainings like firearms shooting and combat courses are important.
