Which part(s) of the course was MOST valuable to you. Please explain why.

Doing solo-LEO clearing of a hall and encountering a threat was very helpful in my opinion. We always talk about having a team and back-up before going into risky situations, but if I hear about an active shooter and hearing shots inside the building, I am not going to wait for back-up. So, learning on how to appropriately clear a fatal funnel (hallway) and encountering a threat during that and neutralizing it was most valuable.

I don't think anything had "least value" honestly. Everything we learned today was for a reason.

Having us do either different scenarios or having the scenarios be in different parts of the building in order to not expect certain aspects of the exercise. Although, I understand wanting all of the responders involved having a solid rep of the scenario.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

I think that working with Fire/EMS was very important to this instructional block. It is helpful to have a "peek" into their side of things and not just look at everything from the LE aspect. For example, setting up an AEP from an LE aspect, we'd look at what is safest, but from a Fire/EMS aspect, they need to look at what is doable.

I had watched all of the video content, but had a lot of difficulty retaining any of it without context. When we got to do the hands on practical stuff at the Oscar Meyer building, it made everything make sense. I went from really feeling unconfident and uncomfortable with the content, to being decently confident in the content.
