If there were actual dispatchers attending this course, I don't think they would get too much out of it. For boots on the ground jobs (police, fire, ems) I think this is a great course.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

I'd love more direction about how 911 operators should handle the influx of these types of calls... how to get through the call volume quickly, what questions to ask, etc.

I received valuable insight to the LEO and EMS/FD processes so that i can be more informed as a dispatcher.

The discussions about after action reports for incidents was not as valuable as other material covered, from the dispatch perspective.

When reviewing the after action reports from various incidents it would be nice to get more information as to the impact on the call centers, call volume, and any decisions that were made by dispatch the positively/negatively effected the outcome. How can we learn from past experiences to enhance our roles as dispatch?.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

I would like to take another course in negotiations, or in helping deal with possible suspects who may call in to dispatch. I would also be interested in courses dealing with tactical dispatch.
